Battalion : 1/8th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at London. Son of Edward and Ellen Beckett of 7 Summers Terrace, Arkwright Street, The Meadows, Nottingham.  Husband of Hilda Beckett. He enlisted at Nottingham and was killed in action, 13th September 1917,  by German shellfire, whilst serving in the trenches near Cambrin, France.
