Born at mill Hill, Middlesex. Son of John and Sarah Ann Beckett, of Bedford, Husband of Annie Maria Beckett, of Bridge Farm, Darley Bridge, Matlock, Derbyshire. He enlisted at Mill Hill and was killed in action, 31st December 1917, aged 31, whilst in the line near St. Jean, Belgium.
