Born at Stepney, London and lived at Spittleifield, East London. Son of Isaac and Annie Becker, of 17, Lamb Street, Spitalfields, London. He was a tailor prior to enlisting 1st March 1916 at London. He went to France 26th February 1917 and died, 4th May 1917, aged 28,  from gunshot wounds to his head at 34 Casualty Clearing Station, La Chapelette, France.
