Born and lived at Derby. Son of John and Clara Annie Beck, of 7, Penny Long Lane, Derby. He was a milk boy prior to enlisting at Derby. He was killed in action, 15th October 1916, aged 20, in the attack near Montauban, France, during the Battle of the Somme.
