Born at Trowbridge, Gloucestershire and lived at Taddington, Buxton, Derbyshire. Son of Frederick William and Catherine Beaven, of Priestcliffe, Taddington, Buxton. He enlisted at Bakewell, Derbyshire and was killed in action, 28th September 1917, age 23, whilst serving in the line near Vlamertinghe, Belgium.
