Born and lived at Ripley, Derbyshire. Son of John and Emma Ann Beastall, of 14, Chapel Street, Ripley, Derbyshire. He was a tailor’s apprentice prior to enlisting at Ripley. He was killed in action, 20th May 1917, aged 25, whilst in the line near Marqueffles Farm, France.
