Private John Joseph Beardall

Born and lived at Alfreton, Derbyshire. Son of Thomas and Mary Beardall, of Greenhill Lane, Alfreton, Derbyshire. Husband of Charlotte Amy Beardall, of 106 New Marlborough Road, Kirkby-In-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting 13th May 1904 at Ripley, Derbyshire. He served in Strait Settlement (Malaya) from 3rd November 1904 to 29th January 1907. He was qualified as a stretcher bearer 7th March 1905. He went to France 19th September 1914 and died from the effects of gas poisoning 16th May 1915.
