Battalion: 1/7th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at 4, King’s Arms Yard, Castle Street, Nottingham. Son of William and Esther Beadsworth. Husband of Ada Beadsworth. He was a threader prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He went to France on 28th June 1915 and was killed in action, on 1st July 1916, in the attack on the German positions at Gommecourt, France, on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
