Son of George Frederick and Annie Beach, of 63, St. Mary’s Road, Prittlewell, Essex. He lived at 94, Truro Road, Bowes Park, Murrayfield, Edinburgh, Scotland. Husband of Christina Beach, of 3, Traquair Park, Murrayfield, Edinburgh. He was a clerk prior to enlisting, 10th December 1915 at Mill Hill, Middlesex. He went to France 11th October 1916 and suffered gunshot wounds to his left leg, 3rd May 1917. He was treated at No.6 Stationary Hospital, Frevant, France, and was transported to 16th General Hospital, Le Treport, France, 4th May 1917. He was then invalided to England, 18th May 1917 and returned to France, 22nd March 1918. He was transferred to the 2/5th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 30th March 1918 and was killed in action, 17th April 1918, during the German attack on the British lines at Kemmel, Belgium.
