Battalion : 10th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at Burton-Upon-Trent, Staffordshire. Son of Albert John and Sarah Baxter, of 139, Anglesey Road, Burton-Upon-Trent. Husband of Emily Ann Baxter, of 11, Green Street, Burton-Upon-Trent. He was a brewer’s labourer prior to enlisting at Buxton, Derbyshire. He was killed in action, 4th July 1916, during the attack on the German line near Fricourt, France, during the Battle of the Somme.
