Battalion : 16th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Nigg, Scotland. Son of William and Jane Bavidge, of 200, Victoria Road, Torry, Aberdeen, Scotland. He was a cooper prior to enlisting 13th March 1915 at Aberdeen. He went to France and transferred to the 12th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 11th January 1917. Was posted to the 16th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 2nd February 1917 and was killed in action, 12th February 1917, aged 23, by German shellfire whilst in the line at Railway Wood, Belgium.
