Private Cyril Rupert Bath

Battalion : 16th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Bath, Somerset and lived at Leicesters. Son of John H. and Mary Ann Bath, of 5 Devonshire Street, Leicester. Husband of Annie Gertrude Lee (formerly Bath), of 38, Ruby Street, Newfoundpool, Leicester. He was and engineer’s fitter prior to enlisting 9th December 1915 at Leicester. He went to France 16th January 1918 and was killed in action, 16th April 1918, age 26, at Wytschaete, Belgium.

n.b Although the 16th Battalion were in the Ypres Salient (Belgium) on this date it appears that the missing casualties are commemorated on the Pozieres Memorial in France.
