Private George William Barsby

Battalion : 15th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived at Nottingham. Son of Thomas and Harriett Barsby, of 13 Thoroughton Street, Nottingham. He was a factory hand prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He was killed in action, 19th July 1916, by German shellfire, whilst serving in the line to the south-west of Trones Wood, France.
