Born at Sneinton, Nottingham; Son of Thomas and Maude Barnett, of 18, Guys Terrace, Bluebell Hill, St. Ann’s, Nottingham. He was a Labourer prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He went to France 25th February 1915 and was killed in action, 31st January 1917, whilst serving in the line at Foncquevillers, France.
