Battalion: 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at Derby. Son of Alfred and Emma Barlow, of 29 Roe Street, Derby. He was a boot finisher prior to enlisting at Derby. He served in Gallipoli in 1915 with the 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment. He was killed in action, 15th July 1916, with the 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, whilst the battalion was moving between Poulainville and Longeau, France.
