Battalion: 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived at Brimington. Derbyshire. Son of Benjamin and Elizabeth Barlow, of 15, North Moor Road, Brimington, Chesterfield. He was an iron dresser prior to enlisting at Chesterfield. He served in Gallipoli during 1915 and was killed in action on 26th September 1916, age 36. whilst in the line northeast of Beaumont-Hamel, Station, France.
