Battalion: 2/7th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Bestwood, Nottinghamshire. Son of Walter John and Elizabeth Barlow, of 257. Broomhill Road, Bulwell, Nottingham. He was a railway uniform office boy prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He was killed in action, 26th September 1917, aged 21, during the attack on the German positions near Wieltje, Belgium.
