Born and lived at Farndon, Nottinghamshire. Son of Edward and Lucy Barlow, of Farndon. He was a farm labourer prior to enlisting at Newark, Nottinghamshire. He died of wounds, 24th June 1918, aged 20. at a field hospital at Lappion, France near Sissone, France.
