Battalion: 11th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.


Born at Whitton, Lincolnshire and lived at West Halton, near Doncaster, Yorkshire. Son of Frank and Alice Barley. He was a farm labourer prior to enlisting at Lincoln. He was killed in action, 14th April 1917, aged 22, during the attack on Hill 60, Belgium.
