Born at Ecton, Northamptonshire and lived at Ashbourne, Derbyshire. Son of Sampson and Hannah Barker, of Hulme End, Hartington, Buxton, Derbyshire. He enlisted at Buxton and died on 18th May 1916, aged 21.
