Born and lived at Nottingham. Son of Charles M. and Ruth Fanny Barker, of “Braeside”, Woodland Drive, Mapperley Park, Nottingham. He was commissioned 25th January 1917 into the 12th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment. He was killed in action, 22nd March 1918, age 28, at Villercholles, France., north of Saint Quentin, France.
