Born at New Bollinge, Lincolnshire and Lived at Marsh Lane, Tattershall, Lincolnshire. Son of John Thomas and Mary Bark, of Martin Dales, Lincolnshire. He was a horseman and farmworker prior to enlisting on 28th May 1918 at Lincoln. He went to France on 26th September 1918 and was killed in action, 17th October 1918, aged 19, in the attack on the German positions near Regnicourt, France.
