Born at Ware, Hertfordshire and lived at Hertford Heath, Hertfordshire. Son of Alfred and Rebecca Bardell, of College Arms Road, Hertford Heath, Hertfordshire. He enlisted at Hertford Heath and was killed in action, 26th September 1917, aged 18, in the attack near Vlamertinghe, Belgium.
