Born and lived in Nottingham. Brother of Mrs Marie Mellors. He enlisted at Nottingham and was killed in action, 29th June 1916, whilst in the line near Givenchy, France.

Buried Le Touret Military Cemetery, Richebourg-lAvoue, France. Plot 3, Row H, Grave 13.
