Private Albert Frederick Bance

Battalion: 15th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at Croydon, Surrey. Son of William Charles Albert and Alice Martha Bance of 74 Cherry Orchard Road, Croydon. He was a signwriter prior to enlisting on 22nd August 1916 at Croydon. He was transferred to the 15th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 17th March 1917 and went to France on 31st October 1917. He was killed in action, 28th March 1918, during the German offensive near the Bray/Albert Road, France.
