Born at Chapel-en-le-Frith, Derbyshire. Son of John T. Bamford, of Bungalow Tunstead, Whaley Bridge, Derbyshire. He enlisted at Buxton. He was killed in action, 28th March 1918, whilst in the line east of the Bray/Albert Road, France.
