Born at Mickleover, Derbyshire and lived at Allestree, Derbyshire. Son of Frederick A. and Martha Ball, of Ivy Cottage, Park Side, Allestree. He was a joiner prior to enlisting, on 9th November 1914 at Derby. He died on 4th December 1914.
