Son of J. and Annie Ball, of Eyre Street, Clay Cross, Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Husband of Matilda Healy (formerly Ball), of 5, Jarratt Square, Doncaster. He enlisted at Chesterfield and was killed in action, on 17th October 1917, aged 30, whilst in the line near Zillebeke, Belgium.
