Private Arthur Baldwinson

Battalion: 1/8th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived at Babworth, Nottinghamshire. Son of Sam and Mary Baldwinson, of New Cottages, Great Morton, Nottinghamshire. He was a telegraph boy for the Great Northern Railway prior to enlisting on 17th November 1914 at Retford, Nottinghamshire. He went to France on 25th June 1915 and was killed in action, 14th October 1915, being shot through the neck whilst the battalion was holding the Hohenzollern Redoubt, France.
