Born at Dolgellau, Gwynedd, Wales and lived at Great Clacton, Essex. He enlisted at Newark, Nottinghamshire and was killed in action, 5th July 1916, in the attack on the German positions at La Boisselle, France during the Battle of the Somme.
Commemorated: Thiepval Memorial, France. Pier and Face 10 C 10 D and 11 A.
