Born at Downham, Norfolk and lived at Bermondsey, London. Son of Frederick and Elizabeth Baldrey, of 35, Blue Anchor Lane, Bermondsey. Husband of Clarice Baldrey, of 2, Darnell Road, Camberwell, London. He was a shop manager prior to enlisting at Camberwell, 22nd June 1917. He went to France 24th October 1917 and was transferred to the 2nd Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 31st October 1917 and was killed in action, 23rd March 1918, during the German offensive near the Maricourt road, France.
