Private Frank Stephen Bakewell

Battalion: 17th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born and lived in Nottingham. Son of John and Amelia Bakewell, of 158, Queens Walk, Nottingham. He was a fitter prior to enlisting on 12th June 1915 at Nottingham. He went to France on 6th March 1916 and was killed in action, 3rd September 1916, aged 18, during the British attack at Beaumont Hamel, France, during the Battle of the Somme.
