Lance Corporal Frederick Baker

Born and lived at Derby, Son of George Roland and Elizabeth Baker., of 1, Depot Street, Derby. Husband of Clara Baker, of 115, Havelock Road, Derby. He was a hairdresser’s apprentice prior to enlisting at Derby. He served in Gallipoli during 1915 and was killed in action, 26th September 1916, aged 22, in the attack near Ovillers, France during the Battle of the Somme.
