Lance Corporal Charles Baines

Battalion: 2nd Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived at Ripley, Derbyshire. Son of Joseph and Mary Ellen Baines of Argyll Road, Ripley. He was a general labourer prior to enlisting at Derby. He was killed in action, 9th August 1915, in the attack at Sanctuary Wood, Belgium.
