Lance Corporal Alexander Main Baillie

Battalion: 16th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Nairn, Scotland. Son of Margaret C. Baillie. Lived at 68, St. Vincent Crescent, Sandiford, Glasgow, Scotland. He enlisted in the Royal Engineers, 12th August 1915 at Glasgow. He was transferred to the 16th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment and went to France on 11th January 1917. He was appointed Lance Corporal on 25th November 1917 and was killed in action on 16th April 1918.
