Private Albert Baguley

Battalion: 1/6th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born at Staveley, Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Son of William and Mary Baguley, of 173, Speedwell Terrace Staveley. He enlisted on 28th October 1914 at Staveley and went to France on 28th February 1915. He suffered a shell wound to his face on 5th August 1915 and was treated at No. 22 General Hospital at Camieres, France. He was then transferred to the convalescent depot at Rouen, France, on 6th August 1915 before returning to the battalion on 27th November 1915. He died, on 24th September 1916, aged22, of gunshot wounds to his chest at left arm at No. 43 Casualty Clearing Station, Warlincourt, France.
