Born at Risley, Derbyshire and lived in Nottingham. Son of James and Rachel Bagshaw, of Risley, Derbyshire. Husband of Jane Bagshaw, of 17 Trafalgar Terrace Radford, Nottingham. He was a labourer for John Player tobacco manufacturer prior to enlisting on 18th July 1916, at Derby. He died of wounds, 27th May 1918, aged 39.
