Born at Blackwell, Derbyshire. and lived at Langwith, Nottinghamshire. Son of John and Lucy Bagnall, of 189, Scott Street, Langwith. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting at Mansfield, He died of wounds on 6th July 1916, aged 21.
