Battalion: 12th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Clay Cross, Derbyshire. Son of Mr and Mrs F. Bacon, of King Street, Creswell, Derbyshire. Enlisted September 1914 at Creswell. He went to France on 27th August 1915 and was killed in action on 27th March 1918, aged 23, whilst in the line near Vrely, France.
