Son of Robert and Ellen Aubrey, of 4 East Rowe Street, Nottingham. Husband of Nellie Aubrey, of 2 Delta Street, New Basford, Nottingham. He was a basket maker prior to enlisting at Nottingham on 14th December 1915. He went to France on 3rd July 1917 and was killed in action, 26th September 1917, during the attack at St. Julien, Belgium.
