Battalion: 2/7th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Son of James Thomas Atkin, of Bolingbroke House, Dartry Road, Chelsea, London. He was a brakes-man prior to enlisting at Fulham on 7th January 1916. He was transferred to the 2/4th Battalion Northamptonshire Regiment on 16th April 1916 and went to France on 7th July 1917. He was transferred to the 2/7th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment on 27th July 1917 and was killed in action, 21st March 1918, whilst holding the line near Noreuil, France on the opening day of the German Spring Offensive or (Kaiserschlact)
