Son of Walter Fred and Carrie Atkin; husband of Kate Atkin, of 34A, Lucks Yard, Queen Street, Louth, Lincolnshire. He enlisted at Louth and was killed in action, 29th October 1917, aged 27, by German shellfire, whilst serving in the line near Hazebrouck, Belgium.
