Born at Friday Bridge, Cambridgeshire, Son of Arthur and Anne Maria Armstrong, of Wisbech St. Mary, Wisbech, Cambridgeshire. He lived at Bunkers Hill Wisbech St. Mary, Wisbech, Cambridgeshire. He was a farm labourer prior to enlisting at Bury St. Edmunds, Cambridgeshire on 2nd June 1917. He went to France on 24th March 1918 and was killed in action, 16th April 1918, aged 19, during a German attack at Kemmel, Belgium.
