Lance Corporal John Thomas Archer

Born at Peartree, Derbyshire. Son of William and Catherine Archer, of 19 Grayling Street, Derby. He was a coach finisher prior to enlisting at Derby on 10th November 1915. He went to France on 22nd December 1916, was appointed Lance Corporal on 2nd February 1918 and was killed in action, 19th June 1918, aged 24, during a raid on the German trenches near Le Touret, France.
