Battalion: 16th Battalion, Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Son of John and Miriam Archer of “The Pastures” Littleover, Derbyshire. He was a farmhand prior to enlisting at Derby on 8th May 1916. He went to France on 22nd May 1917 and transferred to the 16th Battalion, Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment on 12th June 1917. He was killed in action, 22nd September 1917, during the attack at Bulgar Wood, Belgium.
