He was born at Bulwell, Nottinghamshire. Son of Harry and Annie Aram, of 2, Hall Street, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. He enlisted at Retford and went to France on 27th April 1915. He was killed in action, 18th April 1918, by German shellfire near the village of Sailly-Labourse, France.
