Son of William Frederick and Elizabeth Anthony of 3 Depot Street, Derby. Husband of M. A. Anthony, of 50, Dean Street Derby. He enlisted at Derby on 15th October 1914, went to France on 1st March 1915 and was killed in action, 19th April 1915, whilst serving in the trenches near Lindenhoek, Belgium.
