Born at Aston, Hertfordshire. Brother of Mr W. T. Ansell, of Aston End, Stevenage, Hertfordshire. He lived at Stevenage Hertfordshire. Enlisted at Hitchin, Hertfordshire and was killed in action, 14th October 1918, aged 36, during the attack at Cable Copse, near Courtrai, France.
