Son of Tom and Mary Andrews, of 10, Sherbrooke Road, Carrington, Nottingham. He was a fitter prior to enlisting at Lincoln on 11th December 1915. He went to France on 30th May 1916 and joined the 10th Battalion on 15th June 1916. He was killed in action, 7th July 1916, aged 24, during the attack on Quadrangle Support, near Contalmaison, France, during the Battle of the Somme.
