Born at Bakewell, Derbyshire husband of Emma Andrews, of Sellors Yard, North Church Street, Bakewell. He was a house slater’s labourer prior to enlisting at Bakewell. He was killed in action, 5th November 1916, whilst serving in the line near Martinsart, France.

Buried Puchevillers British Cemetery, France. Plot 3, Row C, Grave 23.
